Thought to be dead after the first tournament, Kano is found alive in the Outworld. He once again escapes capture by Lt. Sonya Blade. Before the actual Outworld invasion - Kano manages to convince Shao Kahn to spare his soul. Kahn needs someone to teach his warriors how to use the scientifically advanced weapons of Earth and Kano is the man to do it.
END SCREEN: When Shao Kahn grants Kano immunity from losing his soul he fails to realize the resourcefulness of hte scheming man. Kano uses this opportunity to catch Kahn off guard. He lures Kahn's army away on a false mission. The he nukes them using a nuclear weapon he stole from the U.S. arsenal. Kano battles through the remaining warriors and finally defeats Kahn himself. Kano's true intention is to take possession of all the souls which Shao Kahn once possessed. But Kano can't even begin to comprehend the knowledge it takes to keep billions of souls in check. He is immediatly devoured by his own greed. The souls escape and turn on Kano. The world, shortly after, returns to normal.
